Wild resonances… intergalactic jams… alien sonorities… Matt Lavelle and D3 together in an extended set of xenosonic jazz improv textures. Fasten your seatbelt and shift to warp factor 10…- Gene Gaudette

This is the second of two D3 albums on UR with a special guest, this time the remarkable multi-instrumentalist Matt Lavelle. The Trio D3, Jack DeSalvo, Tony DeCicco and Bruce Ditmas, Began in the late 80s when DeSalvo was with Ronald Shannon Jackson's Decoding Society and Ditmas has returned from a long European sojourn with Enrico Rava and others. Their first record, Spontaneous Combustion was released on the Enja/Tutu label and had an extended hiatus until they recorded a series of albums for Unseen Rain, of which this is one. This recording is newly mixed and mastered and is another true de force of spontaneous composition.
